Working in Manufacturing at JLR, you'll be the hands-on expert who brings innovation to life. WHAT TO EXPECT You will be working as part of the maintenance operations team at Halewood, Liverpool in Trim & Final Assembly to provide support to maximise production efficiencies and maintain all associated plant equipment. You will be responsible for first line response to requests for issues with equipment and processes. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • To work as part of the T&F maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient production performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & the Environment framework Manage the
  • implementation of all process modifications and ensure all related documentation is updated
  • Provide technical expertise to the team to support problem solving activity. Accurately identify root cause and corrective actions Contribute to environmental initiatives to maintain standards as required and comply to all Health and Safety procedures by ensuring all safety metrics are achieved Work on waste within maintenance operations and continually seek efficiencies in all areas while utilising lean manufacturing techniques to improve maintenance processes

    Technical automotive engineering skills gained in Manufacturing, ideally in a large, automated environment Knowledge of Trim & Final Assembly Technology Knowledge and experience of the following Controls Technologies: Robotics (ABB Preferred) / PLC's (Allen Bradley Preferred) / Control Systems / Vision Systems / Safety Systems Knowledge of PFMEA, control plan and engineering standards and testing procedures Relevant Degree (engineering, electrical, electronic, instrumentation and controls) or equivalent experience Experience of specifying and installing new automation to realise productivity targets Project management skills to enable the transformation of the facilities to the latest standards
