Full Job Description

As a Data analyst your role will be to liaise with all areas of Interface to provide information reporting deliverable to both internal and external stakeholders. This is on both a routine and ad-hoc basis and will involve delivering varied data sets in different ways. These reports will be used to measure the value of work we are bringing to the NHS, to show the outcomes of reviews and to analyse performance indicators internally.,

  • Maintain/strive to improve an understanding of all major areas of analysis and statistics. This includes certain tools used for this; MySQL, Excel, VBA and other BI tools.
  • Liaise with technical and non-technical staff at all levels to understand and interpret analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards that report outcomes of reviews.
  • Maintain, develop and be responsible for key reporting streams used both internally and externally.
  • Work on the creation and maintenance of summary reports, which must be designed to be clinically sound in highlighting patient care delivered by our clinical pharmacists.
  • Assist with identifying / fixing any issues or flaws in the reporting/IT systems.
  • Ensure all data and reporting capabilities adhere to strict information governance guidelines regarding confidentiality and data protection laws.
  • Encourage improved data quality by highlighting areas of concern to appropriate staff, liaising actively with clinical and administrative teams to understand and resolve data quality issues, and alerting managers to possible training needs.
  • Work with the team to keep improving the quality and efficiency of current databases and reporting facilities.
  • To support the provision of training and support to managers and clinicians in the use of information systems and business intelligence tools.

    Good experience with using a spreadsheet software tool (such as Excel & VBA)
  • Good experience with a relational database system (preferably MySQL)
  • Good experience with an interactive dashboard software (preferably Tableau)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to project manage and prioritise
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Keen to work in a team and collaborate
  • Desirable skills:
  • Experience providing customer support and administration for web-applications
  • Experience of advanced database functions
  • Knowledge or experience of the healthcare industry (preferably long-term conditions)
  • Knowledge or experience of working closely with upper management and business processes
