Prepare and analyze trichinella samples following the QMS guidelines and SOPs
Ensuring sample integrity is maintained
Be responsible for storing samples correctly and the final disposal of them when they are completed
General laboratory organization
Maintain and clean tools & equipment and ensuring calibration records are up to date
Maintaining a clean, compliant & organized lab environment
Working in accordance with company, laboratory, and general manufacturing Health & Safety requirements
Displays drive and motivation to continually improve performance
Ensure the timely testing of samples / reporting of data
Other laboratory duties where required

Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
Possess a sense of urgency, take initiative and work with a high attention to detail
Take a structured approach with solid record keeping
Be able to work additional hours if overtime may be required
Have a good level of both written and verbal English
Ideally have Level 2 Food Hygiene/Safety certification

No previous Lab experience necessary.

Salary - £13.57 per hour (inclusive of £1 per hour weekly attendance bonus)
