Lead Civil Engineer

Worley is seeking a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to join the Civil, Structural & Architectural Group within Worley to lead a CSA team on projects for a range of clients across the entire spectrum of energy, from existing oil and gas operators, re-purposing of existing infrastructure through carbon capture and electrification. We are looking for enthusiastic and engaged engineers, willing to take on a technically challenging role. An ability to challenge the norm, create novel solutions and a desire to be involved in a wide range of potential workscope's is required. You'll be

• Planning and prioritising own work and that of more junior staff so that parallel activities are all completed in a timely manner
• Coordinating design and delivery work being carried out by colleagues in our Global Integrated Delivery team.
• ensuring that work complies with all necessary corporate, departmental, and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained.
• carrying out engineering calculations and check the work of more junior staff to deliver a quality functional input to projects
• proactively generating value adding options within projects to offer to clients to improve both the chance of winning work and satisfaction with completed and ongoing work
• providing functional support and guidance to more junior staff to develop both them as individuals and the capability of the team as a whole
• keeping abreast of current technology so that technical input to projects takes account of new developments.
• Preparing estimates and schedules and assist in their review.
• Maintaining good communication with the client and carry out sites visits when necessary
• Ensuring as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
  
  A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and relevant experience
• Experience in leading CSA teams on medium to large projects.
• Effective technical and practical engineering skills, and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.
• Ability to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity.
• Familiar with and competent in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
• Awareness of commercial, contractual and administrative aspects of engineering.
• Ability to estimate man-hours and materials for delegated aspects of work.
