Lead Clinical Psychologist

We are a highly experienced team of community based clinicians, who love our work, love our team and the families we work with. You'll be visiting young people and families in a variety of settings offering multi disciplinary assessment and interventions as part of agreed care pathways and interventions. you'll have the opportunity to be involved in our various research and audit projects, participate in team learning events, training as required and support service developments. We'll offer you robust clinical supervision including the opportunity to work with other professionals and share learning, appraisal and CPD for Clinical Psychology. We have regular Multi-discplanry team meeting and their are regular psychology meetings, and we are have a super supportive team culture of compassion and respect. Main duties of the job As the CAMHS/LD lead clinical psychologistyou will be responsible for completing relevant assessments, facilitate multi-disciplinary formulations and offer evidence based interventions for children with moderate to severe learning disability. You will be required to work autonomously and respond to the needs of an individual caseload; from initial assessment to discharge. You are expected to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the service; providing specialist skills and knowledge within the four quadrants of the IThrive model. You will be liaising and providing advice, information and consultation to colleagues and other agencies as well as undertaking service governance activity, including research and audit as appropriate. The role will include actively participating in the senior leadership team within the CAMHS-LD team. You will be expected to participate in clinical governance and service development within the CAMHS/LD Team, in partnership with professional specialists and other clinical teams. Education & Qualifcations Essential

• Doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
• Current registration with Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical).
• Knowledge of the theory and practice of highly specialised psychological therapies and assessment modalities in specific difficult to treat groups (e.g. co-morbid/complex presentations ).
• Additional further training in the use of specific psychometric and/or neuropsychological assessment tools.
Desirable
• Formal training in the supervision of other psychologists including Doctoral Trainees.
Experience Essential
• Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity across a range of care settings
• Substantial experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist with children and young people with Learning Disability/Autism/Neurodivergence.
• Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment, both as a professionally qualified care coordinator and also within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan.
• Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision.
• Substantial experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist with people with complex and challenging mental health presentations. .
Desirable
• Experience of working with adults presenting with high risk and emotionally dysregulated presentations
