Hours: 28 Hours per Week, Annaulised Hours totalling 1,092 hours per year

Shift Hours : We're looking for someone to take on our morning shift as the Lead Cook for 28hrs per week annualised, Typical Shift 6.30 - 14.00, Tuesday - Friday. Significant time off in August and December.

This part-time role would work well if you have a family and need to get away for the school run, it would also enable you to take up another part-time afternoon/evening job if you so wished. If you wish to take up a smaller contract we're open to the idea of considering smaller contracts, just talk to us about it.

The Cook role and responsibilities:

As a Cook, you will be supporting the Catering Manager in day-to-day running of the kitchen, and you will be point of contact for the catering team when the Catering Manager is absent.

You will be a part of the team for preparation and cooking of a range of meals. Your duties will also include kitchen tasks such as ensuring allergy compliance as well as maintaining health and safety standards.

This role offers great flexibility of working hours and days, with an annualised system in place to ensure the needs of the service are met during busier periods of business but also ensuring employee security with a guaranteed monthly salary.

Our ideal Cook should have the below skills and experience

NVQ level 2 in food preparation/cooking or equivalent experience- Essential
Food Safety Level 2 or 3 - Desirable
A good understanding of allergens and intolerances - Essential
Core Qualifications in Maths and English - Essential
A clear understanding of COSHH and HACCP -Essential
Experience of working in a catering environment and including the supervision of staff - Essential
