Are you a dynamic and experienced leader passionate about creating transformative learning experiences for students? Park Road Alternative Provision, part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership, is seeking an exceptional AP Base Lead Teacher to lead and develop our alternative provision in Frome. This is a unique opportunity to shape the educational journey of students who require a tailored and supportive learning environment. We provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for students who may be experiencing challenges in mainstream education. Our focus is on individualised learning, building positive relationships, and promoting personal growth and development., As the AP Base Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for the quality of teaching, learning, and progress of students within the AP Base. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring students have access to a curriculum that meets their needs and enables them to achieve their full potential.,
- Develop and implement a vision for the AP Base, ensuring high-quality provision.
- Lead and monitor the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring effective differentiation and adaptive teaching.
- Ensure a relevant and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Oversee the delivery of effective intervention programmes, including 1:1 mentoring and group work.
- Lead, manage, and develop the AP Base team, including performance management and training.
- Oversee the provision of pastoral support, ensuring students' well-being and progress.
- Promote high standards of behaviour and attendance.
- Lead and manage transition processes, including reintegration into mainstream education.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all students.
- Manage the human and fiscal resources of the AP Base effectively.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). - Proven leadership and management experience ideally in an SEND/AP setting.
- Experience working with students with diverse needs, particularly those requiring alternative provision.
- Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to 1 build positive relationships with students, staff, 2 and parents/carers
