You will collaborate closely with leaders across Willmott Dixon, providing expert guidance to assess local leadership development needs and create impactful, tailored learning solutions. Your work will address immediate skill gaps while cultivating long-term leadership potential, ensuring alignment with our strategic priorities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

As the custodian of our six leadership programmes, you will take full ownership of their design and delivery, driving initiatives that enhance leadership capabilities at all levels. While this role requires travel to support our teams nationally and regular visits to our head office in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, we support hybrid working to provide flexibility and balance.

Key Responsibilities

School of Leadership

· Take full ownership of the design, delivery, and evaluation of the six programmes within the School of Leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the evolving needs of the construction industry.

· Develop and deliver leadership courses and resources that foster the high standards of behaviour and performance expected of our leaders.

Business Support

· Act as a trusted advisor and critical friend to senior leaders, supporting their development and strengthening their ability to drive business success.

· Collaborate with senior leaders to identify skill gaps within their teams and implement bespoke learning solutions to enhance team performance and growth.

Talent Identification and Development

· Partner with senior leaders to identify and nurture high-potential talent, building a robust pipeline of future leaders.

· Enable leaders to hold meaningful development conversations, guiding their teams in creating tailored Personal Development Plans (PDPs) aligned with individual and business goals.

· Equip leaders with coaching skills to support long-term career growth and performance.

Deliver ROI

Use data and feedback to evaluate the quality and impact of leadership programmes, demonstrating ROI and identifying areas for improvement.

· Ensure leadership initiatives are cost-effective, delivering maximum value for investment.

· Monitor the long-term outcomes of leadership programmes, celebrating successes and making evidence-based adjustments as needed.

Stakeholder Management

· Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business by listening, understanding their needs, and providing effective support.

· Source, manage, and evaluate external coaches and facilitators to strengthen the leadership development offering, ensuring alignment with organisational values.

Team Support

· Support the Head of Learning and Development in driving strategic goals, fostering a high-performance learning culture.

External Awareness

· Stay abreast of trends and developments in the construction industry to ensure our leadership programmes remain relevant and forward-thinking.

· Proven track record in designing, delivering, and evaluating leadership programmes with measurable business impact and ROI.

· Skilled coach and facilitator, with experience supporting senior leaders in their professional development.

· Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, providing strategic advice on leadership development.

· Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple programmes and prioritise effectively to optimise resources.

· Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to influence at senior levels.

Preferred Qualifications

· Professional certification in Learning & Development (CIPD or equivalent).

· Coaching qualification (ICF/AC or equivalent).
