Our Learning Disability Programme advises, supports and provides national direction across the health and care system in Wales. Join us in delivering the Welsh Government Strategic Action Plan., We have a 12 month secondment to the role of Learning Disability Improvement Manager. This role will involve supporting specific improvement projects, as part of the Welsh Government's Learning Disability Strategic Action Plan and Delivery 2022 to 2026. Building upon on the successful programme to date, the team has a renewed remit for the next 12 months with an ambitious programme of work aimed at accelerating improvements in health outcomes for people with a learning disability. Areas of focus include Quality Statements, Health Checks and Reducing Restrictive Practice. This role will contribute to the wider work of the well-established learning disability team within Improvement Cymru., The NHS Wales Executive provides a central guiding hand, working in partnership for and on behalf of Welsh Government, in and with the NHS in Wales. The Executive is hosted by Public Health Wales.

The Executive's role in supporting this vision is to provide strong national leadership and strategic direction enabling, supporting and, where necessary, intervening to ensure the delivery of national priorities and standards, to improve the quality and safety of care. The Executive will drive improvements to achieve better, fairer healthcare outcomes for the people of Wales.

We are particularly interested in hearing from those with a background in quality improvement, patient safety, project management or learning disability service delivery. The post will involve cross boundary working across the health boards, local authorities, voluntary and independent sectors, seeking to break down organisational boundaries to improve learning disability services nationally.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
