We have an exciting opening for an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant (for SEN pupils) to join our highly motivated team at DSLV Primary E-ACT Academy. You will have prior experience working in a comparable job and be a great team player who is passionate about supporting and assisting young children in their development. To be a part of the team that collaborates to establish a secure, nurturing, and engaging environment where each child can grow, learn, and develop while their best interests are met. The role is fixed term until End of July 2025. Key responsibilities: · Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff. · Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities. · Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils' work. · Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff Pay range: NJC SCP 3 - £21,132.31 ( 37 hours/ 39 weeks per year) Qualifications and Skills:

  • TA1 qualification or relevant experience
  • GCSE Maths and English minimum grade C or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of how children learn and how to motivate them
  • Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
  • Ability to work with an individual child or with a group
