Full Job Description
We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant at our Slough & Langley College Campus to work with learners in our Structural Technologies department. Your role will involve providing support to learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to enable them with accessing the curriculum and participating fully in college life.
Working under the direction of the Curriculum Leader for Structural Technologies, the responsibility of this role will be to assist with teaching, learning, providing educational and mentoring support for students with SEN, and promoting positive relationships and acceptable behaviour. The ideal candidate should have a can-do attitude, be able to build rapport with students and staff, have flexibility in working with different students, and be willing to take on new challenges.
The successful candidate should have good organizational, administrative, and planning skills, a commitment to the academic and personal development of students with additional needs, good communication skills, and the ability to use initiative and think ahead.
