Full Job Description

We are looking for a hard-working and passionate individual from the Early Years or Childcare sector to join our lecturing team. As a professional Lecturer you will be required to undertake formal scheduled teaching duties as follows: teaching, tutorials, and student assessment. The Childcare and Early Years section of our department includes a range of qualifications from level 1 to level 6, and students range from the age of 16 to mature learners. This post will involve teaching across a range of programmes within the department which will currently include: Level 3 Early Years Workforce, Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship, Level 2 Early Years Practitioner & some teaching on our Access to Higher Education course. This role will involve teaching some of our evening cohorts.

Successful candidates may be able to apply for a recruitment and retention payment through the Department for Education, Targeted Retention Incentive. providing they are within their first five years of teaching within Further Education. For the 2024 to 2025 academic year, the targeted retention incentive payment ranges from £2,000 to £6,000.
