Full Job Description

We seek to appoint a highly creative and ambitious lecturer within the School of Arts and Media, who will be primarily responsible for teaching our BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion and Marketing course.

Fashion Promotion and Marketing at the University of Central Lancashire has an excellent reputation, with notable graduate success and high-scoring NSS. The course sits within a well-established Fashion and Textiles team.

Duties will include contributing to achieving the school's academic objectives through teaching, acting as module leader and undertaking administrative duties relevant to module leadership (administering course registers, assessment records, learning programmes, and other records, engaging with the recruitment of students onto courses, and providing appropriate advice on progression and career opportunities).

In addition, the post will require the candidate to support recruitment activities that will lead to travel opportunities and need someone with a passion for their subject area and strong presentation and communication skills. Like all staff in the arts, you would be expected to get involved in the development of industry contacts and potential employers and other external organisations to develop the course's employability potential and reputation.

The successful candidate will have teaching experience in a higher education environment and a good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant area. In addition, you should be IT and Adobe literate and be able to record student attendance, upload the necessary coursework to the university network, and contact students through digital channels. You should also have relevant fashion promotion and styling experience.
