Full Job Description

The Division of Informatics, Imaging and Data Sciences in the School of Health Sciences wishes to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative individual to a teaching focussed role of Lecturer in Health Data Sciences to grow capacity in the development and delivery of teaching in Clinical and Health Data Science. This is a fantastic opportunity for the individual to join a growing education team that is embedded in a strong research department, thus creating an environment where research can be integrated into up-to-date and relevant training whilst also developing innovative approaches to delivery of the educational offerings. In addition, you will be able to contribute to the management and development of our education materials as well as the evaluation of our programmes enabling us to demonstrate the impact of our teaching. You will also be expected to contribute to other teaching, supervision and professional training as well as undertake any associated management and administrative duties.

To apply for this position, you should have a PhD (or equivalent) in Heath Informatics, Data Science, Biostatistics or related fields, experience with curriculum design and development to a range of students and professionals, and experience in the analysis of complex healthcare problems.

This work is key to the Centre of Computational Biology and Health, which sits in the wider Division of Informatics, Imaging and Data Sciences. You will join an engaged digital health community at Manchester and plugin to our network across the University in different disciplines allied to our Division, including The Pankhurst Institute, Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and Applied Research Collaboration (ARC).
