Full Job Description
We are seeking a motivated staff member to join the photography team in Farnham on a fixed-term 12 month contract. Are you a cutting edge Photography educator interested in inspiring a new generation of creative thinkers to find new ways of practice and learning? Are you able undertake year leadership in photography at undergraduate and postgraduate level?
The photography course, sits within the School of Fine art, Craft and Photography and is closely aligned to the Fine Art course in Farnham.
The department seeks to diversify staff research and practices to further expand our offering. Applicants with experience, skills, or focus in one or more of the areas are needed.
# Photography as a spatial and expanded practice, including emerging technologies and media (ie. artificial intelligence, post-internet art, etc.)
# Community and socially-engaged artists
# Post/de-colonial narratives/cultural reclamations, queer studies, disability arts
# Interdisciplinary arts and other nontraditional ways of making and engaging with photography
Evidenced commitment to enhancing student success through learning strategies, supporting relevant graduate outcomes in Photography. The ideal candidate will be able to fully engage with and promote the equality, diversity, and inclusion agenda of UCA and Photography programmes and contribute to progressive creative education and lifelong learning. The actual salary for this position is £23,608-£27,351 per annum.
