Are you ready for your next career move into a dynamic and rewarding environment?
The School of Construction and Engineering is looking for a full-time Plumbing Lecturer who can use their industry knowledge to help our budding plumbers excel within practical and theory environments. This is an exciting opportunity for an existing Lecturer or current Plumber experienced in industry to fully change career into an educational setting and share knowledge and skills with the next generation.
We are looking for someone with excellent practical vocational skills, backed up by the required theoretical knowledge to teach on a range of levels including level 1 to 3, along with part-time courses. You must be passionate about the trade and able to prepare our students for the world of work. Alongside this, you will need to keep detailed records and track outcomes using the appropriate college systems.
Our Plumbing courses are delivered by tutors with extensive knowledge and professional expertise of the industry and work closely with employers to develop students and their own skills. As well as the relevant skills and industry standard qualifications at Level 3 in Plumbing, we are looking for someone with an enthusiasm for helping people of all ages and abilities to achieve their potential.
Holding a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential as training and the chance to achieve a teaching qualification whilst working for the College will be provided. Assessor and/or IQA qualifications would be advantageous. You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching.
This is a full-time post working 37 hours a week, which may include evening work based at our brand-new industry specific facility at our Barnfield Campus in Luton.
You'll have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do so you'll be actively encouraged to upskill.
You can access a wide range of discounts and benefits, free on-site parking, family friendly leave policies including generous maternity and paternity leave. We offer a generous pension scheme, up to 35 days holiday plus bank holidays and additional time off at Christmas.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 30th March 2025.
WHC Group is positive about disabled people. If you need help applying for this role, please contact the Human Resources department.
