Join our Legislation & Certification team as a Technical Support Industrial Placement student on a 12-month placement, where you'll gain invaluable insights into how we ensure our vehicles meet the highest regulatory standards before they hit the road. This placement offers an exciting opportunity to work with industry experts, tackle unique challenges, and experience the dynamic world of vehicle legislation and certification first-hand. During your placement, you will have the chance to experience first-hand how the Legislation & Certification team operates and plays a crucial role in ensuring all Aston Martin vehicles comply with industry regulations. You'll gain a deeper understanding of how various functions within the team, such as Powertrain, Vehicle Certification, and Project Management, contribute to the business's overall success. Working closely with our experts, you'll develop skills in understanding regulatory requirements, managing time-sensitive projects, and contributing to the type-approval process for every model. This role will give you a well-rounded view of the industry and allow you to build a solid foundation for a future career in automotive engineering. What You'll Do:

  • Support Compliance Efforts: Assist the team in meeting industry regulations and new requirements, ensuring our vehicles are approved to the highest standards.
  • Rotate Through Functions: Gain exposure across different areas, including Powertrain, Vehicle Certification, and Project Management, for a comprehensive learning experience.
  • Contribute to Vehicle Approval: Participate in the type-approval process for each vehicle line, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Project Management: Help manage tasks and time-sensitive projects, driving them to completion efficiently.
  • Cross-Site Responsibilities: Work across various sites, including our HQ in Gaydon, our workshop in Wellesbourne, and DBX production in St Athan, with the potential for European travel and overnight stays within the UK, offering a dynamic and varied work environment.

    Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Automotive, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards while handling diverse tasks.
  • Proactive Mindset: Willingness to take initiative and tackle challenges.
  • Industry Experience: Familiarity with industry regulations or participation in competitions like Formula Student is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to different sites as needed.

  • Competitive Salary: £24,400.
  • Annual Leave: 26 days, plus statutory bank holidays.
  • Flexible Work Hours: Monday -Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 and Friday 08:00 - 13:00.
  • Gaydon-based role: Fully onsite at Gaydon HQ, with occasional travel to our other sites, Wellesbourne and St Athan, with potential travel within the UK and to Europe
