Full Job Description

Millfield School seeks casual Leisure Attendants to provide lifeguard cover in our pools during peak hours, particularly late afternoons, evenings, and weekends. We are looking for confident and communicative individuals who have a valid NPLQ certificate. Key traits include organisational skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, leadership, and dedication to high standards. The preferred candidate will have experience in lifeguarding or in the leisure/customer service sector, though this is not mandatory. Flexibility is essential, as the role entails varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Key responsibilities include lifeguarding at both Millfield Main Pool and Millfield Prep Pool, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations, codes of practice, and operational protocols to safeguard all users. Additionally, supervision of the Cricket Centre and Golf Centre will be part of the role. This is a zero-hour contract with a rate of pay of £11.44 per hour plus statutory holiday pay. You will also receive an array of staff benefits including, freshly prepared lunches for a nominal fee of just £10 per month, access to our state-of-the-art school facilities and exclusive discounts and cashback benefits at popular high street shops and restaurants through our Employee Assistance Programme.
