Full Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Lighting Designer to join our expanding Lighting Design team. This role is a junior position with the potential to move into a Lighting engineer role and is an excellent opportunity for someone who is working towards their LIA certificate. Your daily duties will include:

  • Working as part of a team to create lighting projects from start to finish
  • Ensuring lighting specifications are created to meet customer specification
  • Producing CAD drawings of lighting layouts
  • Work as a team to discuss and implement ideas on projects
  • Prepare detailed plans for lighting calculations using Relux & Dialux
  • Liaise with the client and other internal departments to discuss ideas, concepts and alternative solutions where required
  • Brief and liaise with the Lighting Design Manager, Technical Director and other departments to ensure projects meet the building regulations and compliance

    We are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to develop within a growing business. Our ideal candidate will have:
  • Essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally, with close attention to detail
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of lighting fundamentals
  • Organisational and numerical skills to manage projects, budgets and specifications etc.
  • Desirable
  • Previous experience of working within the lighting industry
