Full Job Description
Do you have some spare time each week to make a difference in a young boy's life? Do you have experience of supporting children with ADHD and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)? Are you a caring, proactive and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others? If so we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for someone to support a young 8 year old boy who will act as a friend and mentor.
As a Personal Assistant your duties will include supporting to build confidence, self-esteem and trust which will help this lovely boy to grow and develop socially. You would be expected to help him manage his behaviour safely and to integrate socially when accessing the community for social/leisure activities.
Previous experience in a similar role desirable but not essential. Knowledge of what is of interest to an 8-year-old boy would be helpful.
A driver with a full clean license is preferred with access to own vehicle.
This is a part time position, up to 10 hours per week which are flexible and can be arranged to suit both the employer and PA/carer. The hourly rate is £11.94 per hour; this rate aims to include any mileage costs incurred.
