Full Job Description
This is a 6 month fixed term post to work as a Locum Consultant within Emergency Medicine at UHNM in the Frailty Assessment Unit at County Hospital.
The unit provides holistic, specialised care for frail older patients presenting to County Emergency Department with an emphasis on admission avoidance.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team comprising ACPs, nursing staff, physiotherapist and social care. You will pull patients from the Emergency Department from all workstreams (majors, ambulatory and minors)., The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership within the Frailty Assessment Unit at UHNM. You will be expected to work with other members of the Frailty Assessment team to provide first class clinical care in frailty same day emergency care at County Hospital. You will provide clinical leadership, including delivery of the Clinical Quality Indicators (CQI) for Frailty same day emergency care.
