Full Job Description
Join the Low-Code Application Development team at Lightsource bp (LSbp), where we design, build, and implement global IT systems using low-code tools such as QuickBase, Salesforce, and PowerApps. Our approach focuses on rapid application development tailored to business needs. As part of the team, you will work on a project to explore and research new low-code tools that could benefit our future development efforts. With guidance and support from team members, you'll have the opportunity to develop small applications in each tool, helping to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, such as usability, development speed, integration capabilities, UI design features, cost, and performance. You'll present your findings to the Low-Code team and demonstrate the applications built throughout the process. In addition to this project, there is scope for you to work on system features for LSbp's various applications, involving:
- Meeting with global customers to discuss and gather business requirements for software enhancements.
- Designing, testing, and building features in LSbp's global applications that maintain key Renewable data. If you're eager to contribute to innovative projects in the renewable energy sector, this opportunity give you invaluable experience and could act as a stepping stone into the industry.,
- Gather and document software requirements for Low-Code applications from key business stakeholders.
- Identify and document potential risks, along with mitigation strategies, for software releases.
- Analyse and report on the impact of feature releases.
- Create detailed implementation plans for upcoming software releases.
- Develop features and releases following the Low Code team's established processes.
- Document all entities created during the software release and feature delivery.
- Participate in daily meetings with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on progress and status.
- Researching and documenting other Low Code platforms, or new features on existing platforms, for potential future use by the Low Code team.
Basic Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Familiarity with the phases of SDLC, including planning, development, testing, and deployment. - Basic Understanding of Database Design: Knowledge of fundamental concepts like tables, relationships, and data integrity for effective data structuring.
- Basic Understanding of Low Code Platforms: Awareness of low code tools like Quickbase, including their benefits in rapid application development.
- Basic Understanding of the Solar Energy Industry: Introductory knowledge of solar concepts, technologies, and business models, with a desire to learn more.
