Lunchtime Provision and Welfare Manager - Part-time

The Discovery School is an outstanding and popular, three form entry school, beautifully situated in large, attractive grounds in the heart of the development of Kings Hill. We have recently been inspected by Ofsted (February 2023) and have been judged to be Outstanding in all areas, including overall effectiveness.

Did you know that the amount of time children are at 'play' is equivalent to 20% of the school week? This is a whole school day! We believe that enabling children to have a positive lunchtime is essential for their happiness and wellbeing.
We also believe that the role of a Lunchtime Supervisor is crucial for children's social and emotional development. We are looking for someone to lead and inspire our large team of Lunchtime Supervisors to ensure that there is high-quality and engaging provision for the children and that lunchtimes run smoothly and effectively for all.
If you:
+ Are positive and enthusiastic about the importance of children's play.
+ Want to provide the best possible opportunities for all pupils.
+ Have experience of leadership and management of a large team.
+ Have excellent interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively.
+ Are able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
+ Are able to think and act proactively and strategically.
+ Have a good level of written and spoken English.
+ Are able to use IT systems such as Word or Excel.
