Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team in the United Kingdom. The Maintenance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the maintenance operations for a portfolio of commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of all building systems, equipment, and infrastructure, while managing a team of on-site technicians and subcontractors.,
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, elevators, and other critical equipment
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential maintenance issues and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades
- Coordinate and supervise all planned maintenance, repairs, and emergency services to ensure minimal disruption to building operations
- Manage and oversee a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with facility managers and stakeholders to understand the specific maintenance needs and allocate resources accordingly
- Source, evaluate, and manage third-party vendors and subcontractors, ensuring their compliance with service contracts and safety regulations
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, equipment maintenance, and costs
- Review and optimize maintenance processes, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations in accordance with company policies and local legislation
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in maintenance management
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role, preferably within commercial real estate
- Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance practices
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identify and address maintenance issues
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and computer-aided facility management (CAFM) systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
