Full Job Description

As a Maintenance Operative, your focus will be to ensure the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services, and applying basic fixes to equipment and systems to ensure facilities are fully functional. You will also support new residents to arrange their room as they wish, ensure routine re-decoration is undertaken, and provide out of hours emergency service., Your focus asaMaintenance Operativewillbetoensurethe building and grounds are wellmaintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services applying basic fixes to equipment and systemswhilstensuringfacilities are fully functional. Other responsibilities will include :

  • Carryingout all general maintenance tasks and basic repairs includingall electrical, plumbing joinery and building tasks both inside and outside the Home.
  • Supporting new residents to arrange their room as they wish.
  • Ensuringroutine re-decoration is undertaken asrequiredtomaintainthe standards in thehome.
  • Advisingon the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring thetimelyandappropriate orderingof replacement goods.
  • Providing out of hours emergency service, participating in the on-call rota.

    To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring,supportive,honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do., Have a minimum of one years experience in a general maintenance or handy person role and / or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
  • Hold a full driving licence.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice., You should have a minimum of one year's experience in a general maintenance or handyperson role and / or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
  • You must also hold a full driving licence and have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
