This role as a Maintenance Operative at Avery Healthcare in Aldridge involves ensuring the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services, and basic fixes to equipment and systems to keep the facilities fully functional. The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience in a general maintenance or handyperson role, hold a full driving license, and have knowledge of health and safety, particularly moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments., As a Maintenance Operative, your focus will be to ensure the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services applying basic fixes to equipment and systems whilst ensuring facilities are fully functional. Other responsibilities will include carrying out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs, supporting new residents to arrange their rooms, ensuring routine re-decoration is undertaken, and advising on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks. You will also be required to provide an out-of-hours emergency service and participate in the on-call rota.
