Full Job Description

The Manager will play an important role in the London Debt Team's pan-European loan origination efforts by marketing, pitching for mandates and assisting the team to complete in-depth property and market analyses, presenting to the investment committee and execution of loan documentation.,

  • Marketing and pitching to a target list of potential borrowers.
  • Managing relationships with existing clients.
  • Financial and cash flow modeling to assess and quantify key risks in new real estate finance opportunities.
  • Running internal models to assess loan ratings.
  • Monitoring and analyzing market conditions drawing on both internal and external research resources.
  • Drafting appropriately structured term sheets and assisting in negotiating with borrowers.
  • Working with internal and external legal counsel to negotiate legal documentation.
  • Assisting Debt Team members, and transaction counterparties to perform property due diligence throughout the closing process.
  • Preparing documentation and presenting to the debt investment committee.

    A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in commercial real estate.
  • A good knowledge of real estate sponsors, advisers and other counterparties.
  • Demonstrated understanding of commercial real estate valuation and discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Experience in structuring and documentation of real estate loans.
  • Results orientated with the ability to work independently and lead a deal team.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written English) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, strong work ethic, attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong quantitative and computer skills with preference given to candidates who have knowledge of Argus Enterprise, Excel, Word and PowerPoint and familiarity with the leading commercial real estate market data resources (i.e.-CoStar, CBRE Econometric Advisors, Real Capital Analytics, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written English proficiency.
  • Fluency in written and spoken 2nd European language (eg German, French, Spanish or Italian) is a bonus.
  • Education: A good grade in a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Other professional qualifications, CFA, Masters or MBA are a bonus.
