Lumen Christi Catholic Multi Academy is seeking a dynamic marketing and communications manager to lead and deliver our comprehensive marketing strategy. We are a family of Catholic schools dedicated to providing outstanding education, rooted in our faith and the teachings of Christ. This role is key to promoting our strategic vision of high-quality, inclusive education and engaging with our diverse community of families, Parishes, and partners.,

  • lead the marketing strategy to boost enrolment and enhance Lumen Christi's brand as a leader in Faith-based education
  • engage with key stakeholders, including parents, Parishes, alumni, and the wider community, to foster meaningful connections
  • manage digital marketing efforts, including social media campaigns, content creation, and website management, ensuring our values are communicated effectively
  • coordinate and promote events such as open days, Faith-centred activities, and community outreach initiatives
  • develop public relations strategies that reflect our commitment to excellence and Faith, building relationships with local media outlets
  • act as a brand guardian, ensuring all communications reflect Lumen Christi's values of integrity, compassion, and service to others, To lead the delivery of the marketing and communications strategy for Lumen Christi Catholic Multi Academy, aligning with the organisation's mission of providing Faith-centred, high-quality education.
  • The role focuses on promoting Lumen Christi's vision, boosting enrolment, enhancing brand awareness, and engaging with various stakeholders including families, Parishes, alumni, and the wider community., 1. Marketing Strategy and Brand Management
  • lead and implement Lumen Christi's marketing and communications strategy to optimise pupil roll and enhance brand visibility
  • ensure that marketing efforts are aligned with Lumen Christi's strategic goals, including increasing enrolment, promoting academic and spiritual achievements, and enhancing the reputation of the schools within the Multi Academy
  • oversee all digital marketing efforts including the optimisation of the Multi Academy and school websites, management of social media platforms, newsletters and email marketing
  • develop and implement content marketing strategies, producing visual and written content such as blog posts, videos, newsletters, and digital ads
  • act as a brand guardian, ensuring that all communications reflect Lumen Christi's core values and mission
  • 2. Stakeholder Engagement and Events
  • support the organisation and lead on promotion of key events, such as open days, community engagement initiatives, and virtual tours
  • foster relationships with local Parishes, parents, and the community to strengthen ties and promote Lumen Christi and schools' activities
  • develop and maintain an alumni network, engaging past students through newsletters, social media, and fundraising efforts
  • 3. Public Relations and Media Outreach
  • build and manage relationships with local media, preparing press releases and securing coverage for significant achievements and events
  • apply for educational awards and recognitions to enhance the academy's profile
  • in liaison with the Diocese, monitor and respond to enquiries, ensuring that Lumen Christi's reputation is protected and promoted effectively
  • 4. Content Creation and Digital Communication
  • manage the academy's website, ensuring it remains updated, user-friendly, and aligned with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) best practices
  • develop engaging content across digital platforms, including articles, photography, and video content
  • monitor and evaluate digital metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and inform future strategies
  • 5. Budget Management and Reporting
  • manage the marketing and communications budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while achieving the highest impact
  • regularly evaluate and report on marketing outcomes, including website traffic, social media engagement, enrolment rates, and stakeholder feedback
  • adjust strategies based on performance metrics and evolving organisational priorities

    We are looking for a passionate individual who is driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact. You will have:
  • experience in marketing and communications, ideally within the education or faith-based sector
  • strong skills in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management
  • excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging narratives that resonate with diverse audiences
  • a commitment to the values of Catholic education and the mission of Lumen Christi, Essential:
  • relevant qualifications in marketing, communications, or a related discipline
  • experience in managing marketing campaigns and digital platforms
  • Desirable:
  • degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • CIM or another relevant professional marketing qualification
  • Experience and Skills Essential:
  • proven experience in marketing and communications, preferably within an educational setting or Faith-based organisation
  • strong grasp of digital marketing strategies, including social media, content marketing, and email campaigns
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives for a variety of audiences
  • competency in using content management systems (CMS) platforms and social media tools
  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality outputs
  • strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including families, staff, and community leaders
  • Desirable:
  • experience in public relations, including managing media relations and writing press releases
  • proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
  • photography and video editing skills

  • This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
