Full Job Description
In 2024, UK Global Selling launched a new Strategic Account Services program. This program seeks to improve the Amazon customer and Seller experience globally by working directly with UK Sellers to improve value, selection and convenience on their US Amazon business. Our team will invent and innovate across technology, processes and people to scale the program, improve seller engagement and satisfaction, and enable scalable global solutions through direct cooperation with the US, Europe and other worldwide teams. UK Global Selling is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketplace Consultant develop Sellers, alongside own strategic initiatives to drive the program's development and scaling of the UK to US Strategic Account Services (SAS) program. The Marketplace Consultant is responsible for working with a limited number of UK Sellers to help them grow their business on Amazon's US Store. They will provide strategic advice with a data-driven, collaborative and customer-focussed approach. They focus on topics like using new products and pilots, brand building, exploring Amazon's marketing tools, advising on advertising strategy, optimising global logistics and global selection listing. They will also, if required, support recruitment and onboarding of Sellers onto this new service and act as their primary point of contact. Their work will be supported by a premium support teams to help address operational and technical issues. Given the early stage of the program (launched 2024), this is an exciting opportunity to shape the first paid global export service for European Sellers selling globally into the US Store! You will be responsible for providing feedback, improving processes, and working on projects to help evolve and scale this program. You will be a key part of developing UK Global Selling's portfolio of Paid Services solutions alongside cross functional teams and colleagues in the US, Europe and worldwide. The ideal candidate will be comfortable influencing external and internal stakeholders, strong sales and relationship management skills, a track record of using data and tools to drive business growth, and be comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment. Key job responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of Sellers concurrently and strategically to drive sustainable GMS growth, based on a strong understanding of marketplace programs, tools and processes and using our UK2US SAS Playbook.
- Analyse customer data on the efficiency of listings, selection, supply chain, advertising, and deals and provide strategic recommendations to maximize the sellers' potential.
- Implement and track metrics for recording the success and quality of the sellers in your Seller portfolio. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity.

- Understand and utilize CRM tools, such as Salesforce to track all pertinent account information and sales progress.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews to clients.
- Own and deliver business reviews regarding progress and state of health for the respective assigned portfolio.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Amazon Marketplace 3rd party services industry, UK export macro environment, including knowledge of competing product offerings.
- Manage additional projects around our newly launched Paid Service such as process, tool and content development, competitive analysis, and sales analysis as needed.
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around our Paid Service programs.
- Identify, qualify, and engage with prospective Sellers for UK2US SAS based on a clear understanding of our Sellers and their needs.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in sales or account management work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent - Strong analytical skills including Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to successfully influence at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
- A passion for developing an engaging customer user experience and ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements
- Superior communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work in a complex, cross-functional team environment (including technical, marketing, design and merchandising teams), chasing down and following up on dependencies, mitigating risks, and escalating when necessary
- Experience working with Amazon Seller tools, products and programs. Especially, if you have previously worked on a separate Amazon paid account management service.
- High attention to detail and the management of multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others.
- Confident in using data for analytical purposes - e.g. excel and SQL.
- Experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM tools.
- Creative, takes initiative and can constructively advocate on behalf of the customer
