Full Job Description
Avantor is looking for a proactive and dedicated Materials Management Operative to join our team based in Speke, Liverpool. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering specialist supplies from our onsite store to ensure that laboratory-based scientists have the materials they need to advance science.,
- Ensure the efficient receipt, replenishment, and distribution of goods, utilizing industry-leading inventory management technology to track usage and optimize stocking levels
- Deliver stock to customer "Points of Use" in line with manual handling guidelines and safety protocols
- Perform housekeeping duties, support team performance tracking, and provide cross-training support to cover team absences.
- Maintain and update relevant documentation in support of service delivery, compliance, and training, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Develop strong working relationships with customers and ensure that Avantor's service meets their needs through regular review and feedback
Education: Minimum of GCSE Grade C or above in English, Maths, and Science (or equivalent) - Experience:
- Working in a pharmaceutical or science-related company with hands-on experience in warehouse, manufacturing or stores
- Working in a GMP (Good Manufacture Practice) environment
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to work collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and working with data
- Experience with various computer systems, such as Inventory Management System or COUPA

This part-time, permanent position is based at our Speke facility (Boulevard Industry Park, Speke, Liverpool, L24 9JW), a key location for vaccine production. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a performance-based bonus, pension scheme, private medical and dental care, and an additional day off for your birthday.
