Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, enthusiastic matron assistant to join our busy maxillofacial and orthodontic OPD team., To undertake a range of routine administrative and secretarial tasks to provide support to the matron to ensure a smooth running of the department.

The successful applicant will be responsible for arranging meetings, taking notes, support in the use of Health-roster and the recruitment electronic system, in addition to booking mandatory training and providing full administrative service to the Matron.

We are looking for a well organised and motivated person, with a can do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills, to provide high quality administrative support. .

You will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting the matron. You will also be required to work alongside registered general and dental nurses, Consultants and junior doctors in an outpatient setting.

This may suit someone who wishes to work flexible hours to fit in with work life balance and enjoys a varied workload.

Potential for further training and development for the right applicant. Thisadministration role also provides apprenticeship opportunities with development. For all applicants (working 18 hours per week or more) we can offer an apprenticeship programme to support them to undertake an NVQ in business Administration at NVQ Level 2 or Level 3. This programme will take 13 months to complete and must be commenced within 3 months of the start date for the post.
