Receipt of patient samples. Booking patient data onto lab IT system. Maintenance of lab equipment. Phoning GP surgeries and clinics., Applications are invited for a medical Laboratory Assistant role in the Cervical Screening department at Southmead hospital. The Department provides Cervical Screening across the whole of the South West through a mixture of molecular Human Papilloma Testing and traditional microscopy techniques. It operates in a vibrant and dynamic environment from a purpose-built facility and staffed by a large group of friendly and keen individuals.
The Medical Laboratory Assistant role consists of a mixture of administrative tasks and laboratory preparation work in support of the screening programmeon a rotational basis.
The department runs flexible working hours with weekends if desired. You would be part of a large friendly team
