Medicine Counter Assistant

Before applying for this role it is essential that you have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent MCA (Medicine Counter Assistant) qualification.

The pharmacy service is open on Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 8pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 2.30pm. Applicants will contribute to our excellent evening service Monday to Friday 5:30pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 9am to 2:30pm.

You'll help us make health happen by (amongst other duties):

• You'll act as the service ambassador and provide an exceptional non-judgemental outpatient pharmacy counter service to all patients, staff and health care professionals.


• You'll manage and coordinate the front counter service, identifying customer needs and offering appropriate advice on over-the-counter medicines.


• As a front-line member of the team you will ensure all customers are well received and responded to appropriately. You'll register patients, take payments and provide an accurate cashier function, managing a daily float in line with current policy and procedures, and collect data for audit purposes., Joining Bupa in this role you will receive the following benefits and more:
