About the Team: Reporting into Sr Director, Brand Development, the Menswear Designer will work predominantly in close collaboration with the Lu'u Dan Creative Director, in addition to participating across other Brand Development projects. The Menswear Designer will be an experienced and highly creative designer, working across all product categories and overseeing the full design process. The Designer will receive direction from the Lu'u Dan Creative Director to take Lu'u Dan's collections from conceptualization to realization, with expertise in garment construction and techniques and a strong attention to detail. The Designer will be coordinating input from across design, product development and buying teams. Since this is a rapidly changing environment, passion, resilience and team-orientation are critical in this role. Why Join Us:

  • Collaborating with the Creative Director on vision for the forthcoming collections and collaborations, creating strong design stories to build the collection from initial brief;
  • Designing compelling and inspirational ideas upholding Lu'u Dan's brand identity and design aesthetic, maintaining consistency across all collections and presenting frequently to the Lu'u Dan Creative Director;
  • Creating CAD drawings and detailed tech packs with accurate construction details, specifications and bill of materials ensuring a smooth handover for each garment to the Product Developer;
  • Responsible for meeting design deadlines and working to a cross-functional calendar to ensure seamless execution of designs and timely, on-budget delivery;
  • Leading fittings, providing guidance on fit and detailing, and updating tech packs with fit comments, construction, artwork placement and trim amendments to ensure design aesthetic and overall quality are communicated clearly.
