Microbiology Laboratory Manager

Alpha Scientific are looking for an experienced Microbiology Laboratory Manager to join our water testing team at our Sittingbourne laboratory.,

• Manage the microbiological team in a high paced commercial microbiological laboratory.
• Responsibility for the daily management, resourcing & planning of the microbiology testing.
• Operating the department to meet the requirements of ISO17025 and client specific standards.
• To promote continuous improvement within the laboratory, in terms of production, quality, process development and employee productivity.
• To be responsible for H&S, and the environment policy in the laboratory.
• To ensure operational flexibility so that the capacity of the laboratory aligns with the sample intake to maintain high level of productivity per person.
• Conduct auditing and anomalous work investigations in line with company polices and the requirements of the laboratory's accreditation bodies, such as UKAS.
