Chilmington Green Primary School have a fantastic, part time opportunity!
We are looking for Midday Meals Supervisors to join our school community. The model of established Stour Academy Trust schools is to employ MDMS to assist children in the dinner hour, and focus on establishing the Trust family dining ethos. The main responsibility is to supervise the children during meal times to ensure they are enjoying a nutritious lunch in a safe and happy environment.
The role also involves putting out dining tables, a cutlery set and beakers in time for the start of the lunch period, ensuring there are sufficient settings for the number of pupils eating that day. The role may also require some cleaning duties., Location: Ashford, Kent UK Chilmington Green Primary School is a growing primary school on the new Chilmington Green development in Ashford. Opening in 2018 in a temporary building before moving into a state-of-the-art building in 2021. Pupil numbers are growing rapidly, currently standing at 260 pupils. We would encourage any applicant to visit the school for a tour. It is operating at one form entry in Key Stage One and Lower Key Stage Two and will eventually allow two forms of entry, as 60 Year R pupils join the school each year. The school nursery has a dedicated space for children aged 2 - 4 years old. The school also includes a Specialist Resource Provision for up to 14 pupils who have an Education Health Care Plan for Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

To work as a lunchtime supervisor, the following skills are desirable:
+ enjoyment of working with children
+ patience
+ the ability to stay calm
+ good communication skills
+ the ability to work as part of a team
Lunchtime supervisors must also be aware of their responsibility under child protection legislation (training will be provided) and report any concerns of possible abuse of a child to the head teacher.

+ Monday - Friday 11:45am - 1:15pm each day.
+ The salary will be a pro-rata KR3 - approximately £4, 010
+ Start date is as soon as possible.
