MRO Purchaser

In our facility, we transform raw materials like flour and yeast into delicious pizza crusts, topped with savory sauce and fresh ingredients, before freezing and packaging them for retail distribution. As the MRO Purchaser you report to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager. In this role you will collaborate closely with the Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for the procurement of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies, spare parts, engineering projects requirements, sanitation supplies and services while ensuring optimal inventory levels, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance. In this role you will:

• Collaborate with global procurement team to evaluate cost-effectiveness and conduct cost comparisons of parts and supplies.
• Create & execute purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) generated in SAP MM for all parts and equipment.
• Collaborate with the controlling team on budget management and cost saving initiatives; including overall budget implications.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement to maintaining inventory availability.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and service level improvements.
• Monitor supplier performance, and delivery schedules to ensure alignment with company standards and requirements dates are continually met.
• Assist with strategies to resolve shortfalls in Inventory Service Levels and Inventory Levels.
• Responsible for the MRO performance management reporting, reviewing and resolution process.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Reliability, and Operations, and Engineering.
• Support the shared warehouse location systems and ensure integrity of plant data.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including vendor consolidation, cost reduction, and digital transformation.
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or training preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years working as an MRO Purchaser in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with SAP, S/4HANA preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with maintenance trades, vendors and management.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience working in a maintenance-driven environment.
