Full Job Description

The Integrated MSK service in Trafford includes Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Pain, Specialist Orthopaedic and Rheumatology teams. Within the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy team we treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, with the majority of referrals being received from Trafford GP's, along with some Orthopaedic referrals. The service operates from 2 main bases at Altrincham Hospital and Trafford General Hospital, and offers extended hours to include evening working.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and well-motivated physiotherapist to join our team. This role will enable a physiotherapist with a keen interest in MSK to progress their career. The role will involve the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients presenting with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a high standard of clinical care and possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
There will also be opportunities to be involved in service development. Support will be provided via clinical supervision, regular in-service training, CPD funding and the appraisal system., + To carry a caseload appropriate to role in line with banding and professional expertise.
+ To interpret and undertake advanced clinical reasoning to analyse detailed / complex clinical and non-clinical information provided, to make a justifiable assessment, contribute to the diagnosis and prognosis of a patient and to recommend the best course of therapeutic intervention.
+ To utilise specific therapeutic skills as required facilitating and optimising the treatment of patients.
+ To be accountable for own professional actions guided by registered body and code of professional conduct and other broad policies and guidelines.
+ To communicate sensitively and effectively with patients and their carers to ensure understanding of their condition and gain informed consent.
+ To utilise experience and clinical knowledge to enable effective communication when dealing with complex/difficult patient situations, where there may be conflict and lack of acceptance of a diagnosis, care programme and/or home situation.
