Skills for Care has an exciting opportunity for a National Lead - Regulated Professional Workforce to join our Workforce Delivery Team on a fixed-term or secondment basis. You will be responsible for delivering on an exciting portfolio of strategic activity designed to:
- Enhance the reputation of regulated professionals as a valued and respected career within adult social care.
- Contribute to strategies to increase retention.
- Support access to quality learning and development, guidance and support. increase the number of registered professionals working within adult social care.
- Give more people access to the social care they need to heave their need met in the community and deliver more interventions and support to prevent ill health. We are looking for National Leads to support the following: Support for our ASC Nursing Programme Are you a registered nurse passionate about adult social care with experience of the recruitment and retention of the social care nursing workforce. Skills for Care is seeking a National Professional Lead who is a registered nurse from adult, learning disability or mental health field to support the delivery of the nursing work programme. Applicants should have a range of knowledge and skills specified in the JD and PS and be familiar with supporting equality, diversity and inclusion within their core work. We would encourage applications from registered nurses from global majority communities and are keen to reflect the diversity of the current social care nursing workforce in our nursing leadership. Support for our ASYE programme Do you have extensive experience of working with ASYE programmes and passion and commitment for the development of Newly Qualified Social Workers? Skills for Care is seeking a National Professional Lead to work primarily with ASYE programmes across adults but also with child and family ASYE employers. The role will champion the development and support of NQSWs, ensuring that they are supported in building a secure professional identity. The role supports ASYE programmes with continuous improvement and quality assurance developments. National Professional Leads also work closely with internal Skills for Care colleagues including locality colleagues, with established national networks and contribute to the work of social work-related national bodies. We will consider secondments and job shares as part of this recruitment process. We are keen to hear from candidates who are available immediately, or able to start with us by the 1st May 2025 at the latest (subject to pre-employment checks).
