Full Job Description

SSEN Distribution are looking to appoint a Network Integrity Manager who will be fully responsible for the most efficient performance and reliability of the Region's electricity distribution network.

You will report into the Head of Customer Operations and will be responsible for a team of engineers who plan and manage all Electricity Network repairs and long-term defects.

You will

- Plan and manage all Network repairs and long-term defects; optimising every project to ensure that as much work as possible is completed in every Network outage and that the project teams deliver optimum performance against productivity targets.

- Regularly review defects, ensuring they are reduced in line with agreed business WIP levels and will escalate any requests for Capital projects; demonstrating safety as our number one value by committing to completing two site visits each week and promoting behavioural safety at every opportunity.

- Discuss your team's targets daily, ensuring that they are fully understood in order to drive performance and improvements, leading them to deliver high standards of SHE, Quality, Productivity, Affordability and Customer Service, whilst ensuring all administration, planning, reporting, compliance, escalation and investigation requirements are completed accurately and on time.

- Ensure all planned work is completed, all work for next day repairs are scheduled and that any issues are resolved on that day.

- Run the daily huddle with the Network Integrity Delivery Managers and attend the Weekly Network Improvement Progress Review to ensure that the portfolio of repair work is on target.

A qualification in Electrical Engineering (e,g City and Guilds, ONC etc) or equivalent operational experience.

- A sound business knowledge and an awareness of the key stakeholders and customers in electricity distribution or a similar market stakeholder is essential, you will therefore have relevant technical experience and knowledge, as well as a basic understanding of how a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) generates revenue and incentives.

- Demonstrable experience of delivering commitments to customers, with examples of how you have led a team to deliver customer expectations.

- Experience working with KPI's, fault costs, continuous improvements and daily targets.

- Knowledge of distribution safety rules, great attention to detail, and be confident challenging the way of working status quo.

SSE has a bold ambition - to be a leading energy company in a net zero world. We're transforming the grid to provide greener electricity for millions of people and investing over £20 billion in homegrown energy, with £20 billion more in the pipeline.

Our team of more than 4,200 skilled engineers, customer service advisors and energy experts keep customers connected to a safe, reliable supply of electricity while investing in and developing the flexible networks needed for our low carbon future.

Salary: £63,000 - £94,400 + 10% customer response allowance payment + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available, Enjoy discounts on private healthcare and gym memberships.
