Full Job Description

As the Business and Governance Manager, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to create a successful global business. Working for the Head of Performance and Business Management, you will play a key role in ensuring that, as a regulated business, Neuron has effective operating procedures and governance frameworks, but also has the right culture across the team. You will play a key role in driving the operating rhythm of the team as well as being pivotal to the smooth running of the business overall. You will be accountable for: Governance and Reporting Responsible for embedding corporate governance, and ensuring that the Neuron team are adhering to requirements set by both WTW and the regulator by:

  • Acting as a champion for the 'WTW Excellence Framework', ensuring that the framework is embedded
  • and adhered to by all Neuron employees (including all temporary staff)
  • Leading on the planning and production of the corporate calendar (all relevant Board, Senior Stakeholder
  • and Neuron Governance Meetings), ensuring all papers are prepared in advance, all Neuron attendees are adequately prepared and that, where relevant, minutes and actions are produced and tracked to completion
  • Ensuring that required Governance & Compliance training is completed by all Neuron employees
  • (including all temporary staff)
  • Ensuring that all employees comply with Group-wide policies and procedures acting as a policy advocate,
  • including, but not limited to; oversight of the Corporate Gifts Events/Entertainment and Hospitality Register and adherence to the Travel and Expense budget and policy.
  • Playing a key role in supporting the Head of Performance and Business Management to manage the
  • overarching stakeholder management plan Operational Excellence:
  • Ownership of the joiners, leavers and movers process, including management of the induction process for
  • all new joiners
  • Developing effective internal operating and administrative procedures, ensuring compliance with WTW
  • policies and emerging regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining an efficient and robust operating rhythm across teams to ensure the smooth running of the
  • business
  • Work closely with relevant Board members / secretaries to ensure alignment with timelines and meeting
  • agendas of other key stakeholders (eg ad hoc WTW Board meetings)
  • Planning and executing a robust and efficient financial planning process to deliver to timelines set out by
  • WTW
  • Supporting the Head of Performance and Business Management with managing employee engagement,
  • taking ownership and accountability of the internal communications plan specifically
  • Ensuring effective management of all supplier relationships, specifically ensuring that suppliers meet their
  • obligations and continuously deliver value

  • Experience of successfully establishing operational policies and procedures
  • Experience and understanding of managing a governance framework within a regulated environment
  • Experience of working with C-Suite / Executive level stakeholders
  • Proficient in all relevant MS Office products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Other desirable, but not essential skills are:
  • Extensive experience of working with Senior / C-Suite Stakeholders
  • Understanding of Commercial lines insurance
