Full Job Description
We are looking for a Nursing Associate to join our friendly neonatal team. The special care baby unit has 12 cots, 2 of which are high dependency and the rest are special care. We work closely with our sister units at Worthing and Brighton and are part of Thames Valley and Wessex Neonatal network., The nurse associate will:
- Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a registered nurse with a focus on promoting health and independence
- Have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS values
- Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual
- Carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or other registered care professionals
- Take responsibility for developing own clinical competence, leadership and reflective practice skills within the workplace
The ideal candidate will have successfully completed the nurse associate training programme. They will have developed and will be expected to maintain knowledge, skills and competencies related to the role of nurse associate within the neonatal service. Previous experience of working with neonates or children and their families is desirable but not essential. Training opportunities are available.
