Full Job Description

As a Nursery Room Leader, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping children's early learning experiences. They will lead a team of practitioners, ensuring high standards of care, education, and wellbeing while creating a stimulating and inclusive environment for all children.,

  • Room Leadership: Oversee daily operations within the room, ensuring a high-quality learning environment.
  • Child Development: Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's growth and curiosity.
  • Team Support & Mentorship: Lead and support a team of practitioners, promoting best practices in early years education.
  • Wellbeing & Safety: Ensure a safe, secure, and inclusive setting, following safeguarding and health & safety guidelines.
  • Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children's progress.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the room's provision, identifying areas for development and improvement.

  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading a team in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Passion for Early Years: Strong understanding of child development and a commitment to high-quality early education.
  • Team Player & Mentor: Ability to support and motivate colleagues while fostering a positive working environment.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and team members.
