Full Job Description

An exciting position has become available for a Band 3 Nursing Assistant to work on our Oncology Day Unit at North Tyneside General Hospital. The role involves working alongside our team of nurses and our Ward Manager to provide assistance and support to patients, carers and multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high-quality service. The role will involve daily phlebotomy, basic patient assessment and general housekeeping duties to help with the smooth daily running of the ward.,

  • To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care
  • To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team
  • To maintain high clinical standards
  • To help maintain a clean and safe ward environment

    We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres.
