ITV's Coronation Street is searching for a dynamic and innovative Operational Head of Cameras to spearhead our camera department. This pivotal managerial role demands an experienced Camera Crew Leader with exceptional leadership abilities, adaptability to the fast-paced production landscape, and unwavering commitment to upholding high technical and creative standards., Leading and managing the camera department and its operations will be the primary focus of the Operational Head of Cameras at Coronation Street. This includes overseeing all camera-related activities, fostering the team's professional growth, and guaranteeing that both personnel and equipment are allocated effectively. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, clear communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to uphold high standards within a demanding and fast-paced production setting.,

  • Substantial experience (minimum of 3 years) in a leadership role within camera operations for film or television production, demonstrating progressive responsibility and successful team management.
  • Possesses a recognised Health and Safety qualification relevant to production (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent Production Safety Passport.
  • Demonstrated commitment to contributing beyond core responsibilities, actively participating in additional projects and initiatives as required.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including long days, occasional weekends, and some bank holidays, as dictated by production schedules.
  • Full and valid UK driving licence is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of professional camera equipment, associated technologies, and industry-standard workflows.
  • Capability to handle the demands of a fast-paced production environment.
  • This role includes prolonged periods of standing, walking, and safely lifting and moving camera equipment weighing up to 20kg.

  • Highly adaptable and flexible approach to work, with proven experience working across multiple production units and adjusting quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic, self-discipline, and a proactive drive to take ownership and deliver high-quality results.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, serving as a positive role model and effectively inspiring and guiding camera teams.
  • Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and developing camera crews, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, analyse information and situations effectively, and implement timely solutions to prevent or resolve problems.
