Full Job Description
We're looking for a Operations Director to join our Natural Resources team, to support and lead a diverse and growing portfolio within our Water business unit., Location: Working from home and site/offices as and when required across the midlands and the south, We're seeking an Operations Director to lead our dynamic water business as we grow from a current £120m FY24 to approximately £200m by FY26. This is your opportunity to shape and execute the strategic vision, drive growth, and ensure outstanding results across our frameworks and contracts. Your portfolio contracts will include Thames Water and Anglian Water. We specialise in delivering complex civil engineering and capital projects. - Ensuring the activities of the Business Unit are identified and appropriate standards are implemented to comply with the requirements of legislation, regulation and needs of the business.
- Promoting a culture where technical excellence is at the heart of everything the BU delivers.
- Ensuring contracts deliver/exceeds the budgets/QR forecasts for profit, cash, revenue, overheads.
- Leading, managing and motivating staff and operatives to ensure their contribution is maximised to the organisation.
- Bringing strategic level experience and stakeholder relationships to enable both group and divisional targets to be exceeded.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know, Ability to demonstrate experience of leading large, complex infrastructure projects. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Capability to establish high performing teams with appropriate skills, and to recruit, train, retain.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management principles, and construction practices.
