Full Job Description
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient depot operations, consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations, and upholding the highest standards of compliance and safety. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, forward-thinking company and play a key role in our continued success., Depot Management: Oversee daily operations and the delivery of services, ensuring adherence to customer requirements.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage depot staff to achieve operational targets and maintain high performance.
Compliance & Administration: Ensure strict compliance with operational procedures and regulations. Manage administrative duties including wages, PODs, and documentation.
Performance Reporting: Generate KPIs for customers, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
On-Call Support: Provide support outside of regular hours on a rota basis.
Resource Planning: Occasionally assist with resource planning to meet the operational demands.
Previous experience in a management role, ideally within the transport industry.
A valid international CPC qualification is required.
Strong knowledge of operational procedures and compliance regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexibly, adapting to changing operational needs.
A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining operational excellence.
Turners (Soham) Ltd, one of the largest privately owned transport companies in the UK, is seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to join our team at our Four Ashes Wolverhampton depot. This exciting role involves managing the operations of our new GSF contract, which provides nationwide overnight distribution services for our customers.
Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to meet operational demands.
The role requires flexibility, including coverage for Out of Hours on-call duties.
