Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Yard Operative to join the team, a Galliford Try business.

  • Control plant movements, loading/unloading, yard stock.
  • Control goods in/out paperwork and store away goods appropriately.
  • Control waste/hazardous waste and dispose of appropriately in bins provided and inspect daily.
  • Control forklift truck charging station and carry out basic fuel/oil checks, operating forklift trucks as required.
  • Carry out general house-keeping duties in and around the Company's premises.
  • Complete all necessary administration and documentation.
  • Conduct and complete duties to a high standard and always maintain a professional approach to customers and clients.
  • Observe and comply with correct Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policy
  • Helping load and unload vehicles for both colleagues, customers, and suppliers

  • Possession of Counterbalance forklift license (Or held a licence previously)
  • Possession of Telehandler license (Or held a licence previously)
  • Knowledge of tool and plant is an advantage.

  • Ability to take instruction from senior staff and lead by example.
