Full Job Description

We are looking for an Organizational Improvement Manager to join Essity's largest manufacturing site in the UK. In this role, you will spearhead and implement change in alignment with business requirements, ensuring that customer and supply objectives are met and enhanced through internal development.,

  • Drive and monitor the implementation of the Manufacturing Excellence enablers and standards within the Site, e.g. AM/PM / DOM / Problem Solving / Technical capability.
  • Lead site action plans for continuous improvement activities based on local/joint identified gaps.
  • Ownership focused on delivering self-sufficient teams with Autonomous Maintenance mindset at the core.
  • Develop and Lead Site Talent pipeline. Deliver Process Engineer Graduates scheme, understand the site current and future needs and develop our internal capability against this.
  • Acts and behaves as a role model for safety.
  • Accountable for Performance Management processes and responsible for consequence management within their department.
  • Assure pro-active leadership and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to drive the development agenda throughout site teams, optimizing absolute utilisation.
  • Member of Site Leadership team, collaborating across departments to drive the site OGSM through scorecard focus.
  • Maintains a close link to Global HMEx team to align and implement system enablers (best practices) and to ensure the standards are effective and are delivering the desired results.
  • Proactively shares, learns, and reapply best practices and ensures that systems are standardized at site level and incorporate principle of MEX.
  • Standards focus - Drive Standard work process through the organisation based on the sites OGSM objectives.
  • Lead site people development plans, maintain strong collaboration with the Training Academy to ensure talent pipeline meets site needs, develop Graduate recruitment programme to attract, retain and develop talent Process Engineers.
  • Review implementation progress/quality and address gaps with Site Lead team and operation leaders.
  • Actively transfer skills/knowledge to develop the capabilities on site.
  • Actively promote and follow-up the consistent implementation of Hygiene Manufacturing Excellence programs and enablers, according to the site's priority.
  • Coach local teams on the site in the implementation of the Manufacturing Excellence standards, programs, and enablers, supporting and developing Operations Managers/Leaders - delivering hands on support.
  • Champion Operation Managers to develop people development plans and drive implementation of Manufacturing Academy.
  • Drive regular manufacturing CORE event programmes delivering tangible benefits and savings aligned to the manufacturing performance metrics around Safety, People, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
