Full Job Description
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with special educational needs to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to individual pupils, tailoring your approach to their specific needs.
- Lead 1:1 and small group activities to reinforce learning and develop social skills.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters a love of learning.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Be flexible, adaptable and proactive in your approach.
- Inspire and motivate pupils to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of pupils.
- Experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
- Teaching assistant qualification or equivalent

The role is 14.25 hours per week, to be worked Wednesday 1pm - 3.15pm and Thursday and Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm term time only. This is a fixed term role linked to an EHCP, currently thought to end in July 2028.
